Marie-Pier Turgeon is Director of Institutional Relations and Policy at the Orchestre Métropolitain de Montréal, where she draws on more than 20 years of experience in the cultural sector. She plays a cross- functional role at the intersection of government relations, governance, organizational development, and institutional positioning.

She advises senior management and the board of directors on issues related to governance, compliance, and public funding. She leads government relations strategies and represents the Orchestra before various levels of government and key partners, thereby contributing to its strategic positioning and development. Before joining the OM, Marie-Pier held executive positions in communications, marketing, and private funding at the Théâtre de la Ville, the École de danse contemporaine de Montréal, and the École nationale de cirque. This career path has enabled her to gain an in-depth understanding of the realities, business models, and challenges faced by arts organizations of various disciplines and sizes.

She holds a Diploma of Advanced Studies (DESS) in Cultural Organization Management from HEC Montréal and a bachelor’s degree in Writing, Communication, and Multimedia from the Université de Sherbrooke. Committed to governance in the cultural sector, she serves as first vice president of the Conseil québécois de la musique.
