
Maxime Lataille

Maxime Lataille is Director of Philanthropic Development and Government Relations at the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal (OSM), where he has worked since 2011.
Maxime is very active nationally with various cultural organizations, and contributes to advocacy efforts on behalf of the arts and culture community. His responsibilities include cooperating closely in the artistic development of the OSM, and its local and international positioning, as well as leading the institution’s branding efforts. He is also in charge of the OSM’s public funding, and of developing and maintaining relations with the various levels of government, the Quebec and Canadian missions abroad, and foreign representatives in Canada. Prior to occupying this position, he was for several years Director of Government Affairs for the OSM, after a term as Head of Special Projects in Education. He played a leadership role in the development and funding of La musique aux enfants, an intensive music instruction program for preschool-aged children in the underprivileged area of Montreal North.
Mr. Lataille is presently chair of the Steering Committee at the Conservatoire de musique de Montréal, a board member of Orchestras Canada/Orchestres Canada, where he also chairs the Advocacy Committee, and sits as secretary on the board of directors of the Festival Montréal Baroque. He holds a master’s degree in music (unanimous prize of distinction for flute) from the Conservatoire de musique de Montréal (where he studied with Marie-Andrée Benny) and pursued higher studies at the Conservatoire de musique neuchâtelois in Switzerland both in modern flute (with Michel Bellavance) as well as in baroque flute (with Serge Saitta). He has also completed the MBA Essentials program at the HEC in Montreal.
