
Mark Jamison
President, envericom ltd.
Mark Jamison is President of envericom ltd., an association management practice-focused governance strategies, interim leadership, and government relations. He is a Municipal Councillor, Leeds and Thousand Islands. He is a member of the boards of Readers Digest Magazines Canada and the Leeds and Thousand Islands Public Library. As a career association executive Mark’s assignments included: CEO, Magazines Canada; Managing Director, the Kitchener Waterloo Symphony and KWS Foundation; Executive Vice President, the Royal Conservatory of Music; Managing Director, the Kingston Chamber of Commerce; President, The Ontario Restaurant Association. As a professional musician (his first career) Mark performed with leading players and ensembles including National Ballet, Canadian Opera, Toronto Symphony, Array Music, Orchestra London Sinfonia (Principal Bass), Hamilton Philharmonic and Orchestre symphonique de Québec, participated in national and international tours, recordings and was on the Royal Conservatory faculty. (A hearing failure ended this career.) He has served on plural sector boards including Cultural Careers Council of Ontario (Workinculture), Access Copyright, the Book and Periodical Council, the National Youth Orchestra of Canada, and the Kingston Symphony. He has served on review panels for the Ontario Media Development Corporation, the Ontario Arts Council, and the Canada Council for the Arts. Mark lives on the Rideau Canal in Seeley’s Bay Ontario. He is married to cellist Jill Vitols. They have two grown children one of whom recently introduced Mark to a challenging new assignment: Grampa.
