Denis Tang is the President of the Kanata Music Association. He has retired from a 28 years military career as a Bioscience Officer.  He has held various leadership positions in Research and Development, in Aerospace Medicine, in Special Operations Forces, and also in Medical Intelligence.

He had represented Canada in NATO and other international organizations during his military career.  He has received specialized training in aerospace medicine, human factors, electro-optical instruments, ballistic and explosives.  With more than 10 years with the Canadian Special Operations Forces – Joint Task Force Two, he has become proficient in leading unconventional teams composed of members from diverse backgrounds and multiple organizations.

Having a background in sciences with a Master’s in Microbiology for the “Faculté de Médecine de l’Université de Sherbrooke” and a Bachelor degree in Microbiology from the “Faculté des Sciences et Génies de l’Université Laval”, Denis comes to music from an unconventional way.
