Le concours a toujours lieu, mais Sphinx a \u00e9volu\u00e9 pour offrir un \u00e9ventail de programmes visant \u00e0 favoriser l\u2019excellence et \u00e0 accro\u00eetre la repr\u00e9sentation des artistes noirs et d\u2019origine latine travaillant en musique classique, y compris dans les domaines de l\u2019\u00e9ducation, de la prestation, de la commande de nouvelles \u0153uvres et de l\u2019offre de possibilit\u00e9s de d\u00e9veloppement du leadership pour les artistes et travailleurs des arts noirs et d\u2019origine latine.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">R\u00e9flexions sur la conf\u00e9rence<\/span><\/b><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">1- Potentiel humain et innovation<\/span><\/b><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Un th\u00e8me qui s\u2019est d\u00e9gag\u00e9 \u00e0 maintes reprises des s\u00e9ances auxquelles les membres du personnel d\u2019OC ont assist\u00e9 est celui du potentiel humain et de l\u2019innovation s\u2019offrant aux orchestras, \u00e0 condition de s\u2019ouvrir \u00e0 tout ce que cela peut offrir. Le programme de la conf\u00e9rence a touch\u00e9 \u00e0 une vaste gamme\u00a0 de possibilit\u00e9s que les orchestres peuvent exploiter, comme la gouvernance, la programmation artistique, l\u2019\u00e9ducation musicale et l\u2019engagement communautaire. Il existe une mine de talents \u2013 tant parmi les artistes \u00e9mergents que les travailleurs des arts, ainsi qu\u2019une expertise consid\u00e9rable parmi ceux et celles qui \u0153uvrent d\u00e9j\u00e0 dans cette discipline artistique \u2013 dans laquelle nous pouvons puiser et dont nous pouvons tirer des enseignements.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Comme l\u2019a signal\u00e9 Achia Floyd durant la s\u00e9ance <\/span><i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Rising LEADers<\/span><\/i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, il ne faut pas penser \u00e0 ce qu\u2019une diversification en musique classique peut faire perdre mais plut\u00f4t \u00e0 ce que l\u2019on a \u00e0 gagner&#8230; soit des occasions de d\u00e9velopper le talent et la forme artistique qui existent d\u00e9j\u00e0 au sein de l\u2019organisation et de nous \u00e9panouir gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 une collaboration meilleure, plus novatrice et plus inclusive.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">2- Un dilemme constant pour les orchestres\u202f: maintenir la tradition ou s\u2019adapter aux r\u00e9alit\u00e9s actuelles<\/span><\/b><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Une observation que le personnel d\u2019OC a particuli\u00e8rement retenue est la suivante\u202f: \u00ab\u202fLa tradition ne consiste pas dans la v\u00e9n\u00e9ration des cendres, mais dans la pr\u00e9servation de la flamme\u202f\u00bb, qu\u2019a faite Enrique M\u00e1rquez durant la s\u00e9ance <\/span><i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Rising LEADers<\/span><\/i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">. Tout \u00e0 fait! Comment l\u2019art des orchestres et notre pouvoir rassembleur pour permettre au public d\u2019appr\u00e9cier la musique ensemble peuvent-ils (et vont-ils) servir \u00e0 nos voisins en 2022 et dans l\u2019avenir?\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Depuis quelques si\u00e8cles, les orchestres ont en g\u00e9n\u00e9ral \u00e9t\u00e9 les d\u00e9fenseurs de la tradition \u2013 surtout de la tradition eurocentrique, aux d\u00e9pens des artistes, travailleurs et membres du public racialis\u00e9s. Malgr\u00e9 la beaut\u00e9 ind\u00e9niable de la musique que nous avons interpr\u00e9t\u00e9e au fil des si\u00e8cles, durant les s\u00e9ances de\u00a0 SphinxConnect, les intervenants ont \u00e0 juste titre signal\u00e9 que, pour assurer la survie et la mise en valeur de la musique classique au 21e si\u00e8cle, il fallait se pr\u00e9occuper davantage des besoins et ambitions des communaut\u00e9s dans lesquelles nous vivons, surtout de celles que les traditions eurocentriques ont exclues.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Non seulement est-ce la seule option qui s\u2019offre \u00e0 nous comme \u00eatres humains antiracistes et artistes, mais la d\u00e9cision de puiser dans une plus vaste mine de talents (pour ce qui est des \u0153uvres jou\u00e9es, des musiciens qui les interpr\u00e8tent et du personnel en coulisse) enrichit aussi le travail de l\u2019orchestre et est indispensable si nous voulons maintenir notre pertinence et notre valeur. Comme l\u2019a par exemple fait remarquer un pan\u00e9liste, les mill\u00e9niaux s\u2019attendent \u00e0 trouver une diversit\u00e9 dans les milieux artistiques qu\u2019ils fr\u00e9quentent; si votre\u00a0 orchestre n\u2019est pas un miroir des communaut\u00e9s qu\u2019il dessert, vos publics, actuels et futurs, risquent de vous d\u00e9laisser.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Jazm\u00edn Morales, animatrice du panel <\/span><i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Where the Wild Things Are<\/span><\/i><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> [litt\u00e9ralement O\u00f9 sont les choses sauvages], a insist\u00e9 sur le fait que montrer son c\u00f4t\u00e9 \u00ab\u202fsauvage \u00bb et donc \u00eatre attentif aux \u202ftemps \u00e9tranges que nous traversons signifie qu\u2019il faut penser librement \u00e0 ce qui est possible et ne pas s\u2019embourber dans les proc\u00e9dures et habitudes. Et comme le panel <\/span><i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Higher Registers: Evolving Artistic<\/span><\/i> <i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Excellence<\/span><\/i><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> l\u2019a fait observer, la pand\u00e9mie nous a oblig\u00e9s \u00e0 abandonner de nombreuses habitudes (comme des cycles de planification rigides, la dur\u00e9e des concerts). Comment pouvons-nous continuer \u00e0 \u00e9voluer et \u00e0 nous adapter aux p\u00e9riodes de turbulence que nous traversons?<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">3- Maintenir et poursuivre le changement pour le mieux<\/span><\/b><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Dans son allocution de cl\u00f4ture, Weston Sprott a dit avoir vu plus de progr\u00e8s sur le plan de la diversit\u00e9 et de l\u2019inclusion en musique classique au cours des deux derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es que durant toute sa vie; mais qui sait si cela va durer. \u00ab C\u2019est \u00e0 nous qu\u2019il appartient de continuer \u00e0 exercer des pressions pour faire en sorte que le progr\u00e8s ne soit pas temporaire.\u202f\u00bb<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Les intervenants ont aussi insist\u00e9 sur la n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 d\u2019un changement permanent sur le plan de la diversit\u00e9 dans nos disciplines artistiques; pour cela, il faut (comme David Stull l\u2019a signal\u00e9) \u00ab\u202fmodifier l\u2019ADN\u202f\u00bb des institutions artistiques et cr\u00e9er et ins\u00e9rer dans leurs structures des m\u00e9canismes n\u00e9cessitant la poursuite des changements, comme des programmes pluriannuels continus visant le progr\u00e8s \u00e0 long terme, plut\u00f4t que seulement dans l\u2019instant pr\u00e9sent, des artistes de milieux diversifi\u00e9s.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">De nombreux intervenants ont fait valoir la n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 d\u2019\u00e9largir les d\u00e9marches ax\u00e9es sur la diversit\u00e9\u00a0 au sein de chaque organisation; ces d\u00e9marches ne doivent pas \u00eatre limit\u00e9es \u00e0 un seul comit\u00e9 ou r\u00f4le. Ils ont soulign\u00e9 l\u2019importance d\u2019aligner les valeurs \u00e0 tous les paliers d\u00e9cisionnels (conseil d\u2019administration, cadres, bailleurs de fonds), en ajoutant que le changement peut s\u2019op\u00e9rer dans n\u2019importe quelle \u00e9quipe ou pour n\u2019importe quel r\u00f4le. Par exemple, dans le groupe <\/span><i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Learning to Disrupt \u2018the White Racial<\/span><\/i> <i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Frame\u2019 in an Industry Rooted In It<\/span><\/i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u201d les responsables du marketing et des communications ont expliqu\u00e9 comment ils avaient combattu le racisme dans leur travail quotidien au Minnesota Orchestra et donn\u00e9 des exemples de langage raciste par opposition \u00e0 non raciste.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">4- Enfin, et ce n\u2019est pas le moins important&#8230; la musique! [\u2026] Nous avons \u00e9t\u00e9 incroyablement impressionn\u00e9s par le degr\u00e9 de sens artistique que nous avons observ\u00e9.\u202f\u00bb Parce que le concours de 2022 s\u2019est d\u00e9roul\u00e9 sous forme virtuelle, les juges ont exprim\u00e9 leur voix individuellement apr\u00e8s les prestations pour choisir les laur\u00e9ats (plut\u00f4t que de se r\u00e9unir en personne pour arriver \u00e0 une d\u00e9cision). Malgr\u00e9 le changement dans le d\u00e9roulement du concours, Hernandez s\u2019est dit \u00ab\u202fextr\u00eamement satisfait du r\u00e9sultat final de cette ann\u00e9e.\u202f\u00bb<\/span><span
