The Prince George Symphony Orchestra (PGSO) seeks a General Manager. This is a full-time permanent position.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Located in Prince George, BC, the PGSO which is celebrating its 50th<\/sup> anniversary this season, serves the City and the surrounding region. It is a key member of the performing arts community in the City and provides opportunities for professional musicians, community musicians and encourages and supports the development of young artists.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The General Manager is responsible to the Board through the Board Chair for the direction and execution of all fiscal and administrative activities of the PGSO.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The General Manager participates in the Board\u2019s development and implementation of its strategic plan.<\/p>\n

The position has full responsibility for the business office, budgeting, financial records and reporting, marketing and promotion and financial development. In conjunction with the Music Director the role includes concert production management and related volunteer engagement, musician recruiting and oversight with particular reference to the terms of engagement. The GM is also the principal staff spokesperson for the organization for policy and non-artistic matters.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The successful candidate will have a post secondary education or equivalent experience, an appreciation of and ideally experience in classical music and orchestras, possess a high level of leadership and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills as a team player. A demonstrated ability to engage donors is an important asset.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n
