Music Director<\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Strings of St. John\u2019s is accepting applications for the position of Music Director. Based in Ottawa, the Strings of St. John\u2019s is an advanced amateur string orchestra with approximately 20 members. The mission of the orchestra is to provide a supportive environment for string players to improve their ensemble playing and share a broad repertoire of string orchestra music.<\/p>\n

Founded in 1998, the Strings of St. John\u2019s is committed to collaborating with community groups, providing opportunities for young performers and engaging local soloists to perform with the orchestra.<\/p>\n

Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Music Director of the Strings of St. John\u2019s is responsible for leadership, artistic and musical development of the orchestra.<\/p>\n

The Music Director runs the orchestra\u2019s weekly rehearsals, dress rehearsals, and conducts three concerts per year.<\/p>\n

The Music Director works in close consultation with the Concertmaster and the volunteer Board of Directors.<\/p>\n
