Climate emergency is one of the greatest challenges confronting human society. How are artists and orchestras responding? How can we \u201cconnect the dots\u201d between classical music and the effects of climate change? What new roles can arts organizations play in leading the way to a culture shift and a more just, resonant, resilient future?<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Join us for a discussion led by SCALE – a new \u201cnetwork of networks\u201d activating the arts and culture sector in the climate emergency.\u00a0<\/span>In the first part of the session, Judi Pearl will introduce SCALE and its vision for how artists and arts organizations can respond to the climate crisis. In the second part, artist\/scholar Dr. Tanya <\/span>Kalmanovitch<\/span> will unpack new roles for orchestras and musicians in the face of <\/span>the<\/span> emergency.<\/span>\u00a0Participants will gain knowledge, resources and networks to enact change in your life, your orchestra, and your community.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
