International travel may be required from time to time.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>POSITION<\/strong> <strong>SUMMARY:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Azrieli Music Prizes (AMP) Coordinator is the primary point of contact and principal administrator of the biennial Azrieli Music Prizes program \u2013 Canada\u2019s largest competition devoted to music composition. The Coordinator is responsible for harmonizing the partners, plans and resources required to efficiently and effectively realize AMP\u2019s core activities. The Coordinator is also responsible for identifying, activating and engaging a dynamic community around AMP; and for ensuring that the program\u2019s plans and activities are fully integrated with the mission, vision and values of the Azrieli Foundation.<\/p>\n<p><strong>ABOUT THE AZRIELI FOUNDATION: <\/strong><br \/>\nOne of the largest philanthropic foundations in Canada and in Israel, the Azrieli Foundation fulfills the legacy of David J. Azrieli and has been funding institutions as well as operating programs since 1989. Driven by a strong belief in the powerful role and responsibility of philanthropy, the foundation empowers and supports a broad range of organizations in the fields of Education, Research, Healthcare and the Arts.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>KEY DUTIES &amp; RESPONSIBILITIES<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Program Coordination:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop and implement the biennial AMP program plan &#8211; including detailed activity plans, timetables and deliverables<\/li>\n<li>In collaboration with the MAC Manager, develop the biennial AMP program budget and ensure that the program operates within approved parameters<\/li>\n<li>Administer all program activities, including scheduling, logistics, resource requirements and interactive elements<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Research \/ Planning \/ Reporting:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Stay aware of changes and developments in the classical music sector and share learnings with relevant groups<\/li>\n<li>Network with cross-sector contacts to keep current on emerging trends, issues, technologies and capabilities, ensuring that AMP is planned and executed using the most current information, knowledge and practices<\/li>\n<li>Consult regularly with the MAC Manager, Foundation staff and key partners to ensure AMP plans are meeting program requirements<\/li>\n<li>Support the Chair of the Advisory Council in convening and running Council meetings: schedule meeting dates, create agendas, supply all relevant support materials, create the meeting minutes, follow up on actions and incorporate advice into adjusted AMP plans<\/li>\n<li>Monitor for ongoing program effectiveness and relevancy<\/li>\n<li>Develop and implement methods for collecting community feedback to identify program improvement areas<\/li>\n<li>Deliver draft program plans that incorporate improvements while also setting and actualizing annual program goals<\/li>\n<li>Prepare project reports in accordance with AMP and Foundation timelines<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Communications \/ Community Engagement:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Collaborate with the Communications Team, as well as publicity and graphic design providers, to develop and deliver the AMP communications plan<\/li>\n<li>Act as key point of contact with Prize Laureates, the Advisory Council, program partners, service contractors and the public<\/li>\n<li>Identify and network with individuals, organizations, and institutions to increase visibility of AMP in existing and new markets<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Program Alignment and Advocacy:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>In collaboration with MAC Manager, ensure that AMP aligns with the Azrieli Foundation\u2019s mission, vision and values<\/li>\n<li>Undertake all duties and responsibilities in alignment with AMP\u2019s strategic objectives and the Azrieli Foundation\u2019s strategic orientation<\/li>\n<li>Act as an advocate for AMP and the Azrieli Foundation: communicate the organization\u2019s mission, vision, values, achievements and unique role in the community<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>3-5 years of project management experience required; experience in the charitable sector is an asset<\/li>\n<li>A university training in music with a focus on performance and\/or musicology is preferred; training in arts and cultural management is considered valuable<\/li>\n<li>Strong oral, written and visual communication skills using both official languages is critical to this role<\/li>\n<li>Excellent working knowledge of the classical music sector in Canada; knowledge of the international field is an asset<\/li>\n<li>Proven ability to work collaboratively with a broad range of stakeholders to develop, plan, implement, report on and improve programs<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>CANDIDATE SKILL AND COMPETENCIES<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Must be a creative yet systematic thinker: someone who sees the potential to advance AMP through continuous learning and improvement of planning and processes<\/li>\n<li>Responds well to the demands and challenges presented by change, ambiguity, complexity and other external pressures<\/li>\n<li>Keeps current in own field of expertise, shares knowledge with peers and partners and can effectively translate it to plans and partnerships<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrates skill in project management, including budgeting, resourcing and task management in alignment with larger organizational plans<\/li>\n<li>Knows how to initiate work: sets goals;
